Parent Teacher Confrence

Today was the girls parent teacher conference...

Raven: She is doing really well. She is above level on her reading, but struggles with math, which we have always known and are working on. She also rushes with her writing and we are working on that as well. Her teacher says that she is a pleasure to have in class.

Nadia: Her teacher thinks the world of her. She says that she has come along way in things and her behavior in class. She is one of the top 3 in her class and is reading above level as well. The only thing that she has struggled with is writing the #4 and #9. She gets them backwards.

Ear Piercing

Today we went and got the girl's ears pierced. They were really excited until we got there and it came right down to it. We had Nadia go first because we knew that if she went second there would be no ear piercing with her. She picked purple butterfly earring's and as a bonus a necklace came with it. Raven got green butterfly earring's and a matching necklace as well. They were troopers.

Hair Due's and Conversations Between Cousins

Yesterday Carson and I went to my sisters to have my hair colored and to get Carson's hair cut. On a whim we ended up bleaching the tips of his hair and one of my nephews. They turned out cute.

While my sister was putting the color in my hair, Carson and my nephew Aiden were playing with cars and they had a couple of funny conversations.

Carson: I got a gogurt this morning cause I didn't have school.
Aiden: Well, you must have been a really good boy.

Aiden:How old are you Cars?
Carson: Little

There is 4 years between these two boys and they are so funny to listen to.

Happy Valentines

Happy Valentines Day From the Davis'

Kids signing their Valentines Cards for their friends at school.

This is the final project. M&M's in a bag with the kids signatures.

Lets be honest, I was a little bit disappointed that we were not allowed to make the kids Valentines boxes for their treats. This was our first Valentines with the kids, and I wanted to go all out and do it all...LOL.. The kids Teacher's requested that we just send the treats because they were making a bag in class :(

For dinner we had nachos and now we are watching the "Bee Movie" while I blog...LOL...

Another Epic Snow Storm

When I got up this morning and saw how much snow was on the ground, my anxiety kicked up bad. I got the kids all to school safe and sound and then it was time for me to go to work. I even made it to work safe and sound. Thank goodness.

This picture was taken on the freeway in Springville. There was an accident just up ahead and there was an Orem officer on the scene.

This picture was about a block or two from my office.

This picture is of the snow on our back lawn. I am afraid that we are going to have a well watered lawn and basement when all of this snow melts. The pile of snow is from shoveling only a quarter of our driveway. I'm afraid the rest will have to go on the front lawn cause there really is not anymore room on the back. Our basement is going to flood if we get a quick warm up.

Temple Sealing 01/19/2013

We have waiting a long 12 years for this day. OK so maybe it has only been 6 or 7 years when we found out that we would never be able to have kids the traditional way and that we would most likely have to adopt. And it is FINALLY here!!!

I am so thankful for the knowledge of FOREVER FAMILIES!!! Yes, I would have been thankful to have my kids born into the covenant, but there is just something very SPECIAL about kneeling across the alter from my husband and our kids in the middle all holding hands. What an amazing experience. I have dreamed of this day for a very long time and it was everything that I could have dreamed and more. I know that Carson is so young that there is a possibility that he won't remember this experience later in life, but I hope my girls are old enough that they will always remember this day and the way they felt in the House of the Lord.
