Children with trauma histories will always assume the worst. When you ask your child, "Please move your shoes out of the living room." What she hears is, "Can't you do anything right?"
I have noticed this with the girls lately. Whenever I ask them to do something, I get the why do I have to do that? Or, but, I like my shoes there.

On our way to my sister's for dinner, the kids were talking about us not having any more kids and Carson says I know how this baby thing works you have to pay off Jesus.
