Another Epic Snow Storm

When I got up this morning and saw how much snow was on the ground, my anxiety kicked up bad. I got the kids all to school safe and sound and then it was time for me to go to work. I even made it to work safe and sound. Thank goodness.

This picture was taken on the freeway in Springville. There was an accident just up ahead and there was an Orem officer on the scene.

This picture was about a block or two from my office.

This picture is of the snow on our back lawn. I am afraid that we are going to have a well watered lawn and basement when all of this snow melts. The pile of snow is from shoveling only a quarter of our driveway. I'm afraid the rest will have to go on the front lawn cause there really is not anymore room on the back. Our basement is going to flood if we get a quick warm up.

Temple Sealing 01/19/2013

We have waiting a long 12 years for this day. OK so maybe it has only been 6 or 7 years when we found out that we would never be able to have kids the traditional way and that we would most likely have to adopt. And it is FINALLY here!!!

I am so thankful for the knowledge of FOREVER FAMILIES!!! Yes, I would have been thankful to have my kids born into the covenant, but there is just something very SPECIAL about kneeling across the alter from my husband and our kids in the middle all holding hands. What an amazing experience. I have dreamed of this day for a very long time and it was everything that I could have dreamed and more. I know that Carson is so young that there is a possibility that he won't remember this experience later in life, but I hope my girls are old enough that they will always remember this day and the way they felt in the House of the Lord.

Epic Snow fall

Last Thursday in a matter of three hours the sky put down about 6-8 inches of snow. It was falling faster than we could shovel so we gave up. We still have about that much snow left on our driveway but it is snow packed due to driving on it. We had family therapy this night and a ten minute drive took us thirty to get home. The next morning we woke up to another 7-9 inches ontop of the day before. I had to drop the kids off to my sisters before work because they didn't have school. Again a ten minute drive took me close to. 40-45 minutes driving in (I'm not kidding) more than a foot of snow on the road. It was bad. It has been a few years since we got that much snow out of one storm. Wow is all I can say.

Contraption/Stollen Cookie

Carson came up to me the other day and said, this contraption helps me to keep my hands and feet to myself...LOL

Today Carson came up to Joe and said, "Daddy, I stole a cookie and took it downstairs and ate it because you won't let me bring my car in the house." Thanks little buddy for being honest.

Mom is Back to Work

Well the time has come for me to go back to work. You see it is that time of year again when tax season is in full swing and that is my Que (spelling?) to head back to the office.

This year will be different in a couple of ways. The first being that I have kids now and we will have to see how I can manage being a mom and still working. I am also managing my tax office this year. Out of the 7 years that I have worked for H&R Block this will be my 5th year managing. I took the last two years off from being a manager (I was just a preparer) and it was a well needed break, but here I am back in the saddle and ready to go.

So far our kids survived the first day of me back at work. We will have to see how the rest of the week goes and into next week. I am sure we will have our challenges, but who doesn't right?

So here is to wishing us luck!!!

Pass of All Passes

Thanks to Grandma Torri (Joe's mom) for the Pass of All Passes for Christmas. We finally took the kids out and had fun. We went to Trafalga and had a blast. The kids golfed and climbed a rock wall. They also had fun in the little playground. They were a little upset when we couldn't play Lazer tag due to two of the kids not being tall enough, but what do you do right? I am sure we will be spending a lot of time there and many other places this summer using up those pass of all passes.

Truck turned Monster/ Dryer Nightmare

So yesterday Joe's truck battery died, which meant it was time for a new one. After going to Walmart to pick one up we came home and while going in the house, Carson said this: "Dad, your truck turned into a monster and ate your battery and that is why it died." This boy has one heck of an imagination and cracks me up.

Last night the boy also had a nightmare and it was about a snowman who tied daddy up and put him in the dryer. Like I said, quite the imagination.
