It's a Crazy Life...But it's Our Life...

(Don't mind the nasty carpet. It was here when we moved in and we had it professionally cleaned, but all of the stains have returned, so it needs to be replaced in every room upstairs.)

Oh how this girl looks so little in this big giant bed!
She is in love with it. This was part of her Christmas present.
Her old bed was crap and Joe and I got a new mattress for our new bed that we got a few months ago, so we decided that we had the bedframe and the box spring that was just sitting around here doing nothing and we decided to give it to Nadia.
Quynsie has the bigger room and a full size bed.
Raven got the brand new bedroom.
Carson got the swing in his room so we thought Nadia deserved something big as well.
It takes up a big chunk of her room, but she still has some space to play and lets face it, she is in heaven! I took her this morning before piano lessons and let her pick out her new bedding as well. That bedspread is so soft and comfortable. I hope she stays warm.

I am not sure, but I think Home Depot has decided that we have spent so much money there this year that they would through in a few very cute helpers to the deal...LOL...just kidding, although they are still cute helpers. Love them to pieces.
Joe is off work this week so we decided to get our family room done downstairs while he is home. I cannot live through another 2 month reno so it has to get done by Sunday or at least most of it needs to get done.

Now I am sitting on our brand new mattress and I can't wait to crawl under the covers and get a good nights sleep. Or at least that is what I am hoping for anyway.
Sunday December 27, 2015
I have this fear of mice being in my bed. I was deep a sleep when I woke up and jumped out of bed only to find out Joe was scratching his feet. We tore the whole bed apart just to make sure nothing was there. Then I Start to finally relax and he does it again and this time I screamed your a jerk while hanging half out of bed getting ready to run.

We have never had a picture on any of our bedroom walls in any of the places that we have lived. We usually just use a frame and put it on a table or our dresser, but as soon as I unwrapped this gift from my mother in law, I knew instantly where it was going and which pictures I was going to use. It is perfect!

I finally got around to decorating my shelf that my dad made me for Christmas. I am in love with it because I have missed having my frogs out.
We spent the entire day cleaning all of the bedrooms including ours. We also took down all of the Christmas stuff in the house and got it put away and we even got the livingroom put all back together.
Joe also started the demolition on the basement family room. I can't wait to get it done and relax for a little while.

I'll be honest, I lost the kids pj's that I made them for Christmas. I could not for the life of me figure out where they went. Well, today we finally found them. They must have fallen behind the couch because when we moved the living room around that is where we found them. I was so relieved because I was devastated that I could not give them to them on Christmas morning.
BUT...here they are in their jammies!

DECEMBER 26, 2015
Well festivities are over and we put all of the kids toys away and then Joe started demolition on the family room downstairs.

I have been battling a major headache for 2 days so today I pretty much was a slacker. We have so much to get done while Joe is off work and I did not accomplish any of it today, except grocery shopping.

Tomorrow I am hoping to wake up feeling much better so that I can get a bunch done. We need to clean up our room and Nadia's room for sure because for Christmas Joe and I got a new mattress (will be delivered on Monday) and we have a box spring downstairs just sitting there and Nadia's bed is falling apart so we decided that we would give her our old box spring and mattress. We also have the headboard that we made a few years ago that we will use. We have tried selling it, but I guess no body wants it so we will put it to use. It is just in the way in the garage. We are hoping that it is not too big for her room, but we shall see.
We also need to get the rest of the upstairs in order because it is our turn to do Family Dinner!

Early Carson said that his head phones were in his room but now they aren't. I asked what did they do grow legs and walk out of your room. His response. ..I don't know but they aren't there anymore...LOL

During dinner last night we were talking to Carson about us not buying him anymore pull ups because he is a big boy and should not still be messing his pants when he just wants to be lazy. He knows how to use the potty, and he does, but for whatever reason when it comes to pooping, he finds it more comfortable to do it in his pants. Anyway Carson said, "Good, I am glad because I don't like wearing them anyway and I have just been punishing my pull ups."

Ummmm dude, you were doing it in your underware before we bought pull ups to help with the mess you were leaving.

Grammy and Papa came over early in the snow storm to watch the kids open presents.

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Davis'

It has been a pretty calm day as far as kids attitudes. They were all happy with what they revived. There was no complaining. 1st time in 4 Christmases that there was no complaining. Great job kids.

We had Christmas dinner with Grandma Nancy (Joe's real mom).

DECEMBER 21, 2015

Nadia has had a fever all day. I wasn't worried until about 4:00pm when her fever kept spiking every 20 minutes or so. I am usually pretty good at keeping her fevers down because she has had a fever seizure in the past, but this time, I was not able to keep it down so I finally caved and took her to urgent care. They said that she has an ear infection, which is crazy because she has not complained about an ear ache including up to today 12/16/15.

Dear Quynsie,
It is 10:30 at night. Go to bed. There is no reason to be slamming doors or banging things on walls while everyone else is trying to sleep.
Love mom

DECEMBER 17, 2015
We celebrated Nadia's birthday with the karate class (her cousins on dad's side of the family) and this was her cake.

The candy cane from Raven and the ornament from Nadia

DECEMBER 18, 2015
Raven, Nadia and Carson's teacher gifts for Christmas. I think they turned out so cute.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NADIA
I can't believe this beauty is 9 already! Stop growing up kids.
She is funny, she Is sassy, and very loving and caring.

Christmas came early from Texas! Aunt Camilla and Uncle Michael sent the kids these cute outfits for Christmas and they were so excited to wear them to Church on Sunday.

Nadia wanted to go to Temple Square for her birthday so we caught the front runner and then trax. I am glad that we took Front Runner because the freeway was a parking lot.
Yep I was even there.
We got home around midnight. It was a long and fun night.
And...
Thanks to the random gentleman that was sitting with us on the train last night for helping to entertain a couple of the girls by playing cards with them. The trip home was much smother than the trip up to salt lake.

DECEMBER 19, 2015
Kids made a snowman. They have been begging to go out and play in the snow and it was finally warm enough for them to go out.

The day finally came when Utah played BYU
My Utah Utes won the game. It was a nail bitter at the end.

We celebrated Nadia's birthday with mom's side of the family and this is what she wanted for her cake. She is obsessed with PIGS!!! This is the 2nd year in a row that I have made a pig themed cake for her. She is also a fan of kit-kats and her favorite color is blue.

Trying to put together Nadia's 3D PIG puzzle with the cousins at Uncle Bronson and Uncle Sonny's house.

I colored this page and it is by far my favorite one that I have colored.

 DECEMBER 20, 2015

Dad finally got around to putting Nadia's birthday present. It is a green machine bike. Now her and Carson both have one.

Ugh it is Christmas week and Nadia is starting it off sick. She started complaining that her eyes hurt and her head was pounding in sacrament (sign of fever for her) brought her home have her some Tylenol put her to bed for a little bit she got up and felt ok for a couple of hours. She is now complaining again but this time she is also dizzy. Her temp was 99.1. Gave her some more Tylenol and hopefully she feels better in the morning.
