My rag quilt is ready for binding. I think it will be a great quilt to take camping. It is pretty heavy even without batting. There is 3 layers of material though. It was pretty fun making this. It took me 1 1/2 days to get this far and no I did not work on it the entire time, but I started around 10 yesterday ending for lunch and then ending again for dinner and never worked on it again till this morning and I finished around 2:00 today.

This is called...mamma is not going to do it for you. Again, I am in hopes that one or all of my girls picks up on this passion of mine.

Carson at it again...
  • So raven is mad at us because we blocked a few apps on her phone and Carson went out to find her in the field at grandma's and he came back in and said "man she is a tuff nugget to find." (she was found just he was chasing her)

Homeward bound....BOOOOO

Mamma is a great packer and it is a good thing too since we will be going to Texas in a month and will need to travel light like this so that we can get to things without a huge mess. My goal is that we don't need to put the cargo thing on top of our van because we will be able to fit everything in the van.

  • Me: Carson get in bed.
    silence
Me: Carson, if I have to come chase you down, you are going to be in serious trouble.
    more silence
    Me: 5, 4, 3, 2,...
Carson: I am going, I am just taking my sweet time.

This boy....what am I going to do with him?

This is the worst my feet have looked so far. Thankfully, I have a doctor appointment on Wednesday for my physical anyway, so I will be bringing this up with the doctor then, because it is extremely painful.

  • Grandma says she has heard it all now.... Carson just said he feels like he is pregnant.... Haha... It was pretty funny

  • So I purchased an item that wouldn't fit in a bag at Walmart and I went to show the guy at the door the receipt and he said your to honest. Ummmm an I supposed to take that as a compliment.
  • Dear son, please eat your lunch at lunch time so I don't keep getting phone calls from you saying your tummy hurts and so I don't have to come check your lunch box every time to make sure you are or not. Love mom
I'm over this school year. I can't wait for summer break.

Hang on grandpa, we are on our way...Beaver bound.
My grandpa fell and broke his hip about 3 weeks ago and this is the first time that we have had a chance to get there to see him. Between kids being sick and then just being busy with life, we just never made it there.

Nadia loving on great grandpa

Lasagna in the crock pot and my 32 oz of water and ice. Life is good right now.

  • Feeling a little off today and it doesn't help that I'm sitting in the heat waiting for kids to get out. This heat makes my entire body swell up like a balloon and it hurts so bad. I have cut back on my Dr Pepper and salt intake hoping it would help but so far it depends on the day.
I also made this for after dinner.

Before going in the oven. Quynsie called me little miss Betty crocker because I have been the main cook in the house for about a month trying out new recipes and such because I'm sick of the same crap every day and every week. I am trying to come up with enough stuff that we don't have the same thing more than maybe twice a month. Summer is coming and I'd like to go grocery shopping once a month minus milk and that sort of thing.

Got these new shoes in the mail today. I have never worn shoes without socks before except flip flops/sandals.
Yes, my feet are extremely swollen and they have been since I started my new birth control. I am so irritated at our insurance company because they would no longer cover my old birth control. I had been on it for 4 years and it worked great for me. Oh how I miss that brand.
I am not sure if that is the cause of this swelling, but putting the pieces together, it would seem that is the root of my problem.

They are building 15 more classrooms, 2 more kids bathrooms, and a couple more faculty bathrooms. I am excited to see how this all turns out in the end. They are hoping to have it completed by the start of next school year.

This is what I call success right there!!!! Yes I allowed my son to wear miss matched shoes to school. Why you ask? Because he actually put them on himself and tied them himself. Apparently he had a knot in one and so he decided to also self solve the problem. Great job buddy I'm proud of you.
This was dinner. It has become a big hit at our house.

Oh Lord the fighting over my girls have already begun. Raven likes this boy in our neighborhood but I just found out this boy only comes over for Nadia but Nadia doesn't like him.

Helping Quynsie cut out her quilt for young women's and girls camp. It is a rag quilt and is going to look amazing.
She is kind of scary using that cutting tool. She needs to slow down and watch what she is doing. I cut the tip of my finger off with one of these about 6 or so years ago.
This has been fun working with her on though.
I am in hopes that one day one of my girls or all of my girls will have a passion to sew like their mom.

Raven and Carson's class was featured in this video for the Arise team fundraiser.
This song is even stuck in my head because the kids all sing it every day all day, but I do love the theme for the school year. "We are Amazing"

The same day the video was featured for the school, this was making its rounds on facebook and I thought it was perfect. My kids are all amazing and unstoppable.
