Humor meets comics's photo.
I think everyone is just like this at some point.

Summer break officially started today. This is our new chore chart. We have had these in the past, but now that Carson is old enough to start doing things around here, I had to add things for him that are age appropriate.
Everyday they need to:
Eat breakfast
Get dressed
Make bed
Clean room
Fold/put away their laundry
Brush their teeth
Get the hair done

These are the chores that are rotated:
Kitchen (rotated between all 3 girls)
Vacuum the stairs (rotated between Carson and Nadia)
Vacuum the basement (rotated between Quynsie and Raven)
Downstairs bathroom (rotated between Quynsie and Raven)
Upstairs bathroom (rotated between Nadia, Carson with mom or dad)

Carson is going to need help with cleaning the bathroom for a little while which is why it says Carson with mom or dad.

I am hoping that this will help with structure, organization and less fighting as to who is doing what. There are also rules that go along with it.
No friends
No playing inside or out
No TV
No phone
Until all of the chores are complete and checked by mom or dad. If it takes them all day to do the chores, then that is their problem and fault. They are free to do these things above as long as they get their stuff completed.

We will be finishing unpacking this weekend so that we can just focus on the yard and relax some. I cannot handle disfunction in this house anymore. We have lived this way for the past 3 months and I cannot take it anymore. Disfunction began when we out of the blue decided to sale our home at the end of February. We had to start de-cluttering  and packing before we could even put the house on the market. Our home was under contract before we even had the sign up in our yard, so we had to start packing even faster. Then the contract fell through right at the end of things, so back on the market it went. Which meant all of the boxes that we had packed and were planning on just moving from the house to the uhal ended up outback in the storage. Four days after that we were back under contract again and thank goodness it went through. Since moving into our new home, I have spent pretty much every day unpacking at least one box. It is not going fast enough for my liking and I would love to have all of my stuff back. The kids need their books back.

Here is to summer and sleeping in a little bit longer.

I forgot to take a before picture so I had to take one from another part of the yard that was out of control with weeds.

All of the kids helping pull weeds and plant the flowers.
The rest of the yard is in some serious need of help, but this is at least a start. We have not had a day since we moved in that it has not rained. If it ever stops raining we will get the rest of the yard done. This is as far as we got before it started raining again tonight.

Davis family before bed entertainment:

Carson is actually doing his headstand on his face. This kid has some serious balance. He can do headstands forever. Tonight was the first time I have seen him do it on his face.

Quynsie doing a hip hop move.
