After paying for school clothes, shoes, school supplies, new brakes and tires for the van and a new starter for the truck, we are pretty much broke.

 

I took the van in to get the tires rotated today and we knew that we would possibly need 2 tires and we were right, but while they were looking at the other 2, they said that there was not much life left in them either so we bought 4 new ones because I did not want to have to go back in a few months to get 2 more. We bought new tires 2 years ago when we bought the van, but we were not exactly great about getting them rotated like we should have so it was our own fault really. We will be a little better about that from now on. We can't afford new tires that often.

I took Carson with me and he was awesome. In fact, he has been completely awesome all day until bedtime.

 

Raven and Carson played in this spot and together without any fighting for about a hour today.

 

Quynsie's friends mom just brought a bottle of dr pepper and this note attached to it. How sweet and thoughtful. It was our pleasure having alina in our home for the day. She was amazing and awesome with they other kids as well.

 

Quynsie and I made watermelon cupcakes for her Young Women activity and there was even enough for our karate students after they were finished with class.

Our niece Jazmine (who is a few months younger than Quyn) went to Young Women with Quyn today after she was done with her karate class. It sounds like they had a great time. I love that our kids are finally becoming close with some of their cousins on Joe's side of the family.
