It's a Crazy Life...But it's Our Life...

I know to most this isn't such a big deal but last night we asked Raven why she was screaming and crying so loud and hard over us asking her to go to bed and her response was "because I can". This is huge. She is starting to feel safe enough to let it go.

We have had this conversation with our kids a lot lately. They are always blaming others for their actions.

The paint is finally on all of the walls in Raven's room and the tack strips are glued down.
Tomorrow hopefully we will have some carpet down on the floor. Then we can start moving her into her room. We are getting excited.
We decided since we were replacing doors, we would replace Quynsie's because it was completely broken and they can't shut it without slamming it. This means that we only have two more doors to replace. The bathroom and the living/playroom.

My mom took the kids this afternoon so that we could actually get something done. We did not get what we wanted to done yesterday because we were constantly putting out fires with the kids. They were fighting and arguing and just plain not listening. They were basically acting like kids.

I think we are all going to be happy when we are done with construction for now. We are going to be taking a break before starting on the rest of the basement. How long of a break you ask, well we are not sure. It may only be a week to a few months. It all depends on how we feel and what we can and cannot live with. I think we are going to live in it the way it is for now and see what we think is the most important thing to do next.
